Josslyn Jacks is about to face a harsh reality check when she receives her first assignment in the WSB—eliminating
Valentin Cassadine, a mission that Colette Moreau previously failed.
Unaware that Charlotte Cassadine is now safe in Port Charles with Lulu Spencer, Josslyn struggles with the idea of
taking a life. She had previously killed Cyrus Renault in self-defense, but the experience left her shaken. Having pursued a path in medicine to save lives, she is horrified to realize that she has been recruited as an assassin.
Josslyn is also in the dark about her mother, Carly Spencer, being romantically involved with her boss, Jack Brennan. She is forced to follow the clues surrounding Brennan’s leadership but questions why Valentin is being targeted rather than arrested. She quickly learns that in Brennan’s WSB, there is no presumption of innocence.
As she studies a dossier on Valentin, Josslyn realizes finding him will be difficult since he was being tracked through Charlotte, who is now home. She is torn between following orders and the risk of being exposed for killing Cyrus. Trusting her instincts, she decides to contact Anna Devane for help, believing Anna is the only one who can guide her through this.
Determined to do what’s right, Josslyn refuses to take another life. Had Brennan not intervened, she would have called for help for Cyrus despite her anger. Now, she must find a way to escape Brennan’s grip without compromising her values.
