Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes are officially engaged after a cringey proposal last week, and Brooke Logan is losing her marbles. Brooke believed that Ridge’s reunion with Taylor wouldn’t last, she was blindsided when Nick Marone (Jack Wagner) told her about her ex’s engagement. But, why did Ridge REALLY say yes?
Taylor’s Heart Complications
A popular Bold & Beautiful fan theory is that Ridge only accepted Taylor’s proposal because of her Broken Heart Syndrome and health scares last year.
With Taylor’s heart history, Ridge probably would have killed her if he didn’t say “yes.” He agreed to marry her, but whether or not he actually sets a wedding date will be an entirely different story.
Brooke is all too familiar with Taylor’s heart condition. B&B spoilers reveal Ridge could use that as an excuse for the proposal. In his defense, it’s a pretty legit one.
Captain Nick’s Return Changes Things
Now that Nick Marone is back in town, Ridge is starting to realize he may still be in love with Brooke (shocker) and doesn’t want her to move on.
Brooke Logan is so desperate to get her man back, she might even agree to see him in private and hide their relationship from his fiance until it’s safe to dump her without killing her.
