A shocking revelation awaits Moira Dingle this week on Emmerdale as she discovers the devastating truth that Celia has been manipulating her all along. The newcomer farmer comes clean about her devious scheme involving Joe and Kim Tate, exposing that Moira has been their primary target.
Only recently, viewers uncovered the sinister plot after Celia presented Moira with what appeared to be a lucrative partnership opportunity with a local hotel restaurant, perfectly timed with Moira’s dire financial struggles. With her farm hanging in the balance, Moira thought her luck was finally turning around, completely unaware of Celia’s malicious agenda.
Celia had visited to deliver the crushing news that their supposed contract had collapsed, stumbling through a feeble explanation about the chef’s dissatisfaction with the produce quality. An enraged Moira responded: “So now you’re telling me we’ve got to write off thousands of pounds that we can’t afford?”.
Later in the same episode, Celia made her way to Home Farm, where her true allegiance with Joe and Kim in their plot to destroy Moira’s livelihood was finally exposed.
She callously informed Joe: “I have an update. I’ve just told Moira she’s laid out thousands of pounds on an order that won’t be paid. She delivered three orders without asking for a penny upfront, and she didn’t read the contract properly. The woman’s fool.”, reports the Mirror.
This confirmed that no genuine business arrangement ever existed, with Celia deliberately deceiving Moira into completing extensive work before pulling the rug from under her feet. However, it appears Celia may be on the verge of developing a conscience.
Following Joe’s assertion that it was very much Kim’s directive for them and Celia to go after Moira, Joe was seen enquiring with Celia about how much longer Moira was expected to survive in the business now that everything had been orchestrated against her. We’re aware that Joe and Kim were pursuing Moira’s land where her farm sits, resorting to underhanded methods to force her out.
Celia appears to be the most recent weapon being used against Moira, and Celia informed Joe: “She won’t make her water fine payment, let alone feed her livestock so my guess that it will all be over a week.”
It emerged that Celia had struck a deal with Kim to secure six months rent-free accommodation with the possibility of leasing additional land – revealing that Celia had also been dishonest about Kim increasing her rent.
Fresh spoilers for next week reveal a dramatic twist though, as Celia betrays Joe and Kim and reveals everything to Moira. It appears Joe pushes her beyond her limit with a menacing warning, and Celia chooses to expose them to Moira who is left devastated.
The spoiler reveals that Joe pressures Celia for an update on the Moira situation, but Celia has experienced a change of heart and wants to withdraw. Joe refuses to let her walk away from their agreement though, and Celia pretends she isn’t threatened by his words.
She becomes increasingly remorseful about her actions, and in her fury at Joe she sees no alternative but to confess everything. Making her way to Butlers, she reveals to a shocked Moira how she was coerced into a scheme with Joe and Kim.
Celia confesses that the deal would allow them to seize Butlers land. Moira is shocked to discover she’s been deceived all along by someone she trusts, so how will she respond to this and what actions will she take against wicked Joe?
