Emmerdale legend ‘to be killed off’ after more than 20 years as ‘nobody is safe’ on soap

Emmerdale fans have predicted a shock death and it’s not looking good for the Dingles.

Charity (Emma Atkins) has been a staple on the soap since her debut way back in 2000. As a member of the beloved Dingle clan, she’s played a part in several big storylines.

From shock family bombshells to getting sent to prison, her time in the Dales has not been short of drama. Especially at the moment, as she is currently pregnant after agreeing to carry granddaughter Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill) child for her.

However, Charity has found herself in a pickle as she secretly slept with former flame Ross Barton (Michael Parr) recently, meaning she is unsure about the identity of the baby’s father.

Ross has since demanded answers, but to add even more stress to Charity’s life, her husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) walked out on her recently.

Emmerdale's latest episode saw Charity Dingle's betrayal exposed moments after announcing she was pregnant

But she has no idea that Mack was seemingly murdered by secret killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), after he found out he killed Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter) last year.

At one point Mackenzie Boyd was and he became an enemy of the character

During a showdown in the woods, John shot Mack with an arrow and then seemingly finished off the job using a big rock.

He has since covered his tracks and has also been sending messages to Charity from Mack’s phone, pretending to be him.

And in Wednesday’s episode (August 27) Ross was back demanding answers from Charity, and insisted he wanted a paternity twist. Stressed, Charity then demanded Ross to leave.

However, amid all the drama going on in pregnant Charity’s life, fans can’t help but think a shock death is on the cards. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers suspect that Charity could be killed off.

One person wrote: “I have a horrible feeling Charity is going to die soon. Either during childbirth or when she finds out about Mack I think.”

Someone else added: “I thought this too, it would be so sad but nobody is safe I guess.” A third then chimed in: “100% she’s going to end up having a heart attack or something from the stress.” Echoing their thoughts, another wrote: “Maybe in childbirth.”
