Emmerdale fans ‘confirm’ Mack’s fate after terrifying killer axe attack twist

Emmerdale fans reckon they’ve figured out Mackenzie Boyd’s fate after yet another attack from killer John Sugden. Mack (Lawrence Boyd) was imprisoned by John ( Oliver Farnworth ) after being seemingly bludgeoned to death, only to survive. In Thursday’s episode (September 4), Mack managed to escape, but John caught up with him and the episode ended with the murderer wielding an axe.

Soap sleuths got together on Reddit to discuss, and some believe Mack is involved in far too many stories, meaning it would make little sense to kill him off now.

They said: “There’s the story with the baby and Charity cheating with Ross, which to me only makes sense with Mack finding out about it, especially now after what Mack said in today’s episode to John about the cheating. That makes me think he will survive.”

The fan suggested it might make sense for Mack to be killed off if it turns out Charity’s baby actually is Mack’s, but they then wondered why the Ross cheating storyline needed to have happened.

They continued: “Then there’s the fact Mack was blamed for the spillage in the farm and that almost costing the family the farm and no one found out yet. It wouldn’t make sense for them to find out after he’s dead, would it?”

The fan added: “The bit that really worries me right now is that Mack is the only person that knows everything about John, besides the fact John already gave him a lot of chances and I don’t see it happening again, so it worries me because if they’re gonna drag this out longer, which it seems they may with the spoilers of Robert getting blamed, then I don’t see how they will do that if Mack survives.

“Why would he not talk if he survived?”
