Emmerdale’s Robert Sugden could have another prison spell looming after he attacked John Sugden with a wrench.
As viewers may recall, Robert handed himself into the police after Lee Posner’s death, as a consequence of defending his sister Victoria from a horrific assault by Lee.
His return came at the right time for him to halt the wedding between his ex-husband, Aaron Dingle, and half-brother John Sugden.
Much to his dismay, Aaron decided to go ahead with the wedding, and Robert has spent his time in the village trying to work out what John has been hiding.
In recent episodes, Robert seems to be on the right track as he’s noticed that John always happens to be there whenever a villager is in danger.
Viewers will recall that John Sugden has a “hero complex” and has repeatedly put lives in danger just so he can save them and be praised by those around him.
We’ve seen him drug Chas, cause Jacob to have an anaphylactic shock, and even put his ex-fiancé in a coma for years.
Not to mention is darkest secret yet – the death of Nate Robinson, with his body only being discovered recently.
