The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease as Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) health deteriorates further- with even Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) aware of his impending death — the situation’s becoming dire.
It is clear that, unless a miraculous intervention occurs, Scott Clifton may soon find himself unemployed.
Liam’s Death And Scott’s Exit Doesn’t Seem Real
It’s hard to fathom, isn’t it-for 15 years, he has embodied Mr. Waffle Man, as his father affectionately refers to him, accumulating three Daytime Emmys and crafting a wealth of stories.
While this may signal the end of Liam’s journey, it doesn’t spell the end for Clifton’s daytime career. He might make a comeback to the role that launched his soap career, Dillon Quartermaine on General Hospital.
His formidable mother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), who once skillfully lured him into infidelity with his then-wife Georgie Jones (Lindze Letherman) have returned.
Clifton could seamlessly step back into the character as if he had never been away, despite Robert Palmer Watkins taking over the role.
But, There’s Just One Thing-And It’s A Great Big Thing!
But there’s one thing-a great big thing; Scott states, “I’m not focused on General Hospital or any other series,” in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. “My priority is to deliver the best performance I can in telling this story, which is what truly matters to me. I aim to honor this show, its narrative, and its creator — Brad Bell, the executive producer and head writer of Bold & Beautiful-it’s clear that Clifton is exceeding expectations with the storyline.
As Liam struggles to maintain his composure while facing emotional turmoil, he is breaking our hearts day after day.
This heart-wrenching narrative is made even more impactful by our deep familiarity with the character, even if there have been moments when we’ve felt like shaking him.
The Years Of The Triangle Soap Trope Have Grown Old
Liam has spent so many years waffling between Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) that when it first started, Hope was played by Kim Matula!
Of course, the eternal triangle and rivalry between Steffy and Hope over Liam was a junior version of Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) over Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
That’s been going on a long time too, back to when Hunter Tylo played Taylor, although Katherine Kelly Lang has always played Brooke.
The waffling men between two women who think he is their destiny trope is getting a little old. So, the latest development with Liam wanting to bring peace between his two baby mamas is refreshing; the only problem is, he might just up and die trying!
