Emmerdale Mack star reveals his dog was rushed to emergency vet ‘you’ve got to be so careful’

Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd star Lawrence Robb has revealed his beloved pet dog was rushed to the emergency vet.

The actor, 34, appeared on Monday’s episode of Lorraine to talk about his ITV soap character following a huge twist with John Sugden, played by Oliver Farnworth.

However, chat soon got onto Lawrence’s adorable pet pooch to which host Lorraine Kelly asked: “Your wee dog, who is adorable!”

A video then played of Lawrence’s dog to which Lorraine, 65, squealed: “Come on, the attitude! That is a wee dog that needs carried around!”

This prompted Lawrence to open up as he shared: “You say that, he actually, unfortunately, he had to have a little operation not yesterday but the day before.

“He’s okay, he’s okay but he had a grass seed that had got inside one of his paws. They had to operate and take it out. A grass seed!”

To which Lorraine responded: “I know, it’s amazing isn’t it? You’ve got to be so careful with them, I’ve heard about that before!”

Lawrence continued: “We went to pick him up from the emergency vet not last night but the night before. It was like 11pm and honestly he was like [mimicked being asleep] the whole way back, I had to carry him back the whole way!”

He added over his beloved pet dog, who is a Cockapoo: “He’s a wee dream!”

It comes as soap fans were left fearing Mackenzie had been killed off on the hit ITV soap.

Mack was thought to have been murdered by villain John last month after he learned about his evil antics.

John shot an arrow through Mack’s chest, before ominously holding a large rock over him.

John and his husband, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), soon fled the village to stay in a remote cottage, with John frequently seen walking through the woods.

At the end of Friday’s (August 29) episode, it was revealed that John had been keeping Mack captive in an underground bunker on the grounds of his childhood home.
