Emmerdale tonight! John’s guilt boils over, but will Aaron get suspicious?

Emmerdale explores John Sugden’s guilt tonight as he confides in Aaron Dingle at their remote holiday cottage.

John is tormented by his conscience after seemingly killing Mackenzie Boyd in a terrifying showdown in the woods last week.

With John’s crime still troubling him, he’s finding it difficult to carry on as normal around his oblivious husband Aaron.

The couple have left the village for a fresh start, but it’s difficult for John to truly move on as he’s haunted by his recent actions…

In a heart-to-heart, John expresses his regrets to Aaron – but makes out that Anthony Fox’s death is the murder that’s bothering him.

John took control in Anthony’s death cover-up earlier this year, getting rid of the villain’s body to keep Aaron out of trouble. It later transpired that Anthony’s daughter Ruby was the one who killed him, so John hadn’t needed to get so closely involved.

Speaking to Aaron tonight, John says: “I just had this really vivid, horrible dream last night – about Anthony.

“Do you ever think much about what we did to him? I do. Disposing of him like that – not even giving him a proper grave.”

Later, he adds: “I don’t think I’ve quite processed what I’ve done. We’re not God. We don’t get to call the shots.”
