Emmerdale‘s Mackenzie Boyd is left horrified tonight as scheming John Sugden outsmarts him again – this time with help from Artificial Intelligence.Proving to be the most high-tech villain the soap world has seen, John comes up with a sly plan to trick Charity Dingle over her missing husband’s whereabouts.
In recent days, John has been holding Mack captive in an underground bunker after deciding to spare his life following their terrifying woodland showdown.
As he continues to carefully consider his next move, John knows that he needs the Emmerdale villagers to stop fretting over Mack’s suspicious absence.
Returning to the bunker, John encourages Mack to record a voice message for Charity, ending their relationship for good and vowing never to come back.
Sure that John would kill him afterwards, Mack unsurprisingly refuses.
Sadly, John has an ace up his sleeve as he still has access to Mack’s phone.
Uploading previous voice notes online, John is able to put together a fake one which sounds just like Mack.
The AI-generated voice message says: “It’s me. Sorry to leave it so long. I’m not coming back, Charity.
“There’s nothing for me there. Not after the stuff with the baby. Stay safe and be well. Goodbye.”
So, will Charity be fooled by a fake Mack? And does this now leave the door open for John to kill Mack without raising any suspicions? Let’s face it, John could probably keep these fake voice messages going for a while…
