Is Mack leaving Emmerdale and does he die? Latest on Lawrence Robb’s character

‘Mack has survived quite a lot over the years but this time it’s not looking so good!

‘What the horrific turn of events does is set the stage for an exciting next stage to John’s saga later in the autumn that will leave fans quite literally on edge.’

Let’s take a look at what’s happened ever since it was confirmed that Mack survived the attack.

What happened to Mackenzie Boyd in Emmerdale?

Mack tries to crawl on the woodland floor after being shot with an arrow in Emmerdale

In August, Mackenzie discovered the truth about John. He was then shot with a bow and arrow, and John then broke his ankle with a giant boulder.

In some dark scenes that aired on ITV1 last week, Mack’s fate was revealed.

John arrived outside the entrance to an underground bunker. He went inside and moved a blanket, ultimately revealing Mackenzie’s body.

Mack grumbled, which was enough confirmation for us to learn that he had survived being shot.

He survived that, but we currently do not know if he is alive following an failed escape plan last night.

What happened in Emmerdale last night?

Mackenzie managed to escape the bunker due to the fact John had dropped a pocket screwdriver.

He was able to free himself from the brick he was chained to and with time, made it above ground.

While this was going on, John was speaking to Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) via the mental health helpline. John told Paddy about his brother returning on his wedding day and kissing his now husband.

Paddy sits in Tenants with a headset on in EmmerdaleHe didn’t mention any names, but the clues dropped allowed Paddy to work out who he was talking to.

He then shared his concerns to Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), fearing John was about to put himself in danger.

In reality, things were a lot worse than Paddy had thought. In the woods, John was racing to find Mack after discovering that he had escaped.

This allowed Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) to try and leave the cottage. He had been drugged by John, but also managed to end up in the woods.

Aaron suffered a seizure and was then found by John. As he tended to his husband, John failed to spot Mack exiting the woods.

He ended up on a road, and believed for a very small moment that his nightmare was about to end.

Sadly, John’s van pulled up. He got out of the vehicle with an axe in his hand, but the episode ended before we could see what happened next.

Is Mack dead?

The theory that Mackenzie has been killed by John is fuelled in the latest visit to the Dales, due to the fact he doesn’t feature at all.

The instalment, now available on ITVX, focused on Aaron as he recovered from being spiked by John.

As Aaron woke up, John claimed that he had drunk too much booze. He suffered a flashback, and also heard Mackenzie shouting his name, but wasn’t well enough to consider that it did happen and wasn’t in his head.

While this was going on, Paddy was chatting to Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) about John. He took a risk and said that he thinks John might put himself in danger, but all Robert could think about was the fact Aaron was with the person Paddy was deeply concerned for.

Robert called Aaron, but John got hold of his phone. It was at this point he confronted Aaron, confirming that he knows about them sleeping together.

John got incredibly close to Aaron’s face as he let his anger increase and it left him terrified. Aaron desperately tried to reassure him, but he couldn’t shake his fear, he was witnessing a side to his husband he had never seen.

A while later, Aaron tried to leave the cottage. He arrived at the front door and bumped his head again, allowing him to remember it happening yesterday. He also saw smashed glass on the floor, proving that he did break his watch in that moment as well.

John hurried Aaron back inside and then went for a shower. As soon as Aaron heard the water running, he leapt from the bed and searched through items belonging to his husband.
