Chief Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) is settling in nicely in Firehouse 51, and after a season of feeling like an outsider, he finally recognizes the talent in his team. His motivational speech harkens to Boden’s (Eamonn Walker) when he would amp the team up in the face of major challenges. “This is the time when the best show what they’re made of. And if I’ve learned one thing, you’re the best. So let’s show the city what we’re made of,” he says. Baby drama is heating up at Gaffney after Ripley (Luke Mitchell) learns that Hannah (Jessy Schram) is pregnant, and she never told him. Meanwhile, Lenox (Sara Ramos) refuses to give up even when the odds are against her. Is this about the patient on the table or her life?
Chicago P.D. Season 13 kicks off with troubling news as Intelligence deals with the fallout of Reid’s (Shawn Hatosy) death. Voight (Jason Beghe) is trying to get them back together, but it’s not an easy task. “There are consequences to my team being benched: lives lost,” he says. All this set against a high-octane multi-show supercut with energetic music.
Meet the Newest One Chicago Additions
The video above also shares snippets of the characters played by the new additions. Mandi’s Eva Imani is a breath of fresh air in the unit. “She comes in hot. The first episode, she’s tracking a gun trafficker undercover and we wind up trying to find the same offender, so we end up working together. And it’s great because she’s coming in without any prior knowledge of Voight, so she’s not intimidated by him. She’s not this green, brand-new cop. She’s been around and is able to be very honest with Voight right off the bat. We see her speak to him like he’s anybody else on the street,” showrunner Gwen Sigan said while previewing the character. Imani seems oddly at ease in the unit, unlike what typically happens with most new additions.
