Grieving Tracy Robinson begins to put the pieces together on Emmerdale next week as she connects Nate’s and Mack’s mysterious disappearances.
A candid heart-to-heart with Charity Dingle leaves her reflecting on her murdered husband’s village exit, but will she get to the grisly truth?
“It’s a case of déjà vu for Tracy,” our Emmerdale source explains. “Listening to Charity speak about missing Mack is chilling, as she lived through this exact sequence of events last year.
“It feels as though it’s only a matter of time that she connects the dots. Should killer John be worried?”
This tricky week begins when Liam Cavanagh calls into the shop and notices that Tracy is having a rough time. She always feels able to open up to the kind doctor and ends up telling him about her bouts of depression and her struggle to raise her young daughter Frankie alone.
Liam comes to her aid and suggests that Tracy has some more counselling sessions to help her through her current mental health crisis. But it’s what the doc says next that leaves her questioning everything…
“Tracy is already in a spin about her beloved husband’s death, with the investigation into his murder recently being reopened,” our insider explains.
“So when Liam remarks that his late patient Owen is unlikely to have overpowered Nate and killed him, her suspicions officially go into overdrive.
“It’s yet more evidence that suggests Owen is innocent and the real killer is still out there…”
Charity, who is having a tough week herself, also spots that Tracy is in turmoil. The unlikely pair sit down for an emotional chat about their devastating love lives.
With Mack having ended their relationship over the phone, Charity has been left to pick up the pieces over her failed marriage, remaining unaware of what’s really happened to him. She’s also trying to find a way to tell Moses that Mack is gone.
“Charity is at a complete loss about how to break this news to her son,” our source adds. “Tracy offers a shoulder to cry on, as she’s been in the same heartbreaking position.
“But the thing is, she’s been in exactly the same position as Charity. Doesn’t that seem a bit strange?”
Mack’s break-up message feels eerily similar to the one Tracy received from Nate telling her not to contact him again.
