Yellowstone is set to build its cast out ahead of its fifth season with the reveal of a returning character after a few years away.
Josh Lucas, who plays a younger version of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, is heading back to the ranch for the first time since 2019.
Deadline is reporting that he’ll be joined by other returning cast members, Kylie Rogers (Young Beth Dutton) and Kyle Red Silverstein (Young Rip Wheeler), who were last seen on the show in 2020.
Meanwhile, Jacki Weaver’s Caroline Warner will be coming back, having been introduced this year.

A number of new recurring stars have also come onboard, including Kai Caster (American Horror Story) as a young cowboy called Rowdy, Lainey Wilson as a musician called Abby, Lilli Kay as an assistant named Clara Brewer and Dawn Olivieri (House of Lies) as corporate shark Sarah Atwood.

Elsewhere, the Paramount Network show has added fan-favourites to series regulars, with Moses Brings Plenty (Mo) and Wendy Moniz’s Governor Lynelle Perry getting promoted for season 5, joining other recent regulars Jen Landon and Kathryn Kelly.
These four cast members are part of the huge main cast expansion of the popular drama series, and are set to join an ensemble that includes Oscar-winner Costner, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley and Cole Hauser.

Hell or High Water writer Taylor Sheridan co-created this show has gone and built out the franchise. It includes the Paramount+ prequel series, 1932 (current working title), other Yellowstone prequel 1882, which stars Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and spin-off series titled 6666.
