Yellowstone has given fans a glimpse of what one of the show’s favourites has been up to since leaving the series.
The show’s fifth midseason finale ‘A Knife and No Coin’, which aired last night in the US (January 1) and served as a backdoor pilot for spin-off 6666, showed life in the Texas ranch where ranch hand Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) relocated to up his skills and become a real cowboy.
After being absent all season, Jimmy surprisingly returned to provide the series with some comic relief and give an update about his relationship with his fiancée, veterinary tech Emily (Kathryn Kelly). Spoiler: the two are still going strong and it seems that Jimmy is thriving at the Four Sixes.

“Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666. Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 has inspired a new scripted series where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing,” Paramount+ shared in the official premise.
“The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world-class cowboys are born and made.”
Yellowstone has spawned several spin-offs: 1883 and the newly released 1923, as well as the upcoming 6666 and a new chapter, titled 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, on the way.
However, it seems that fans of the main show will have to wait for the second part of season 5, as star Piper Perabo revealed filming on the second half hasn’t started yet.
Paramount has since announced that it is coming this summer, without giving a specific release date.
Yellowstone season five airs on Paramount+ in the US and Canada, with episodes available to stream the next day in the UK and Australia.
