Yellowstone star Kevin Costner has welcomed an adorable addition to his family.
Sharing the update on his Instagram page, the actor revealed that he had recently adopted a new Labrador Retriever puppy, sharing a string of photos of himself bonding with the pooch.
The images included a sweet black-and-white snap of the dog sleeping in Costner’s arms as well as a photo of himself watching on as the puppy runs excitedly towards the camera.
“Newest addition to the family. I’m already in love with this special guy,” he wrote in the caption.

Costner is yet to reveal the pup’s name, with several of his followers sharing suggestions such as “Crash” and “Aspen” to the actor alongside their congratulations.
While his Yellowstone co-star Hassie Harrison, who plays ranch hand Laramie, added: “Mr. Costner!!! That’s the cutest puppy ever!!! Congrats!!! I want to know what you name him.”
Costner has starred as patriarch John Dutton in Taylor Sheridan’s neo-western series Yellowstone since 2018, winning ‘Best Actor – Television Series Drama’ at the Golden Globes for the role in 2022.
Last year, it was reported that Costner had decided to quit the series over contractual disputes. It is yet to be confirmed whether or not the actor will appear in season 5, part two of Yellowstone, with filming set to begin in spring ahead of a November 2024 release.

Meanwhile, Costner has been busy working on his upcoming movie Horizon: An American Saga, which he has co-written, produced, directed and starred in.
Set both before and after the American Civil War, the film tells the story of the expansion and settlement of the American West.
Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Jamie Campbell Bower and Luke Wilson will all star alongside Costner in the film – with Chapter 1 scheduled to be released on June 28, 2024, followed by Chapter 2 on August 16, 2024.
